Terms of Service
These terms define the rules and responsibilities that apply when an organization uses Zync.
Last updated: August 2, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Zync. By creating an account, starting a trial, or using the service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these terms and confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. The service
Zync analyzes authorized operational sources to reconstruct knowledge, recurring problems, decisions, discoveries, and supporting evidence. Features may change as the product evolves, especially during preview, beta, or early-access periods.
Zync provides decision-support information. Customers remain responsible for reviewing outputs and for decisions or actions taken based on them.
3. Accounts and authorized use
- Provide accurate account and organization information.
- Keep credentials and access methods secure.
- Use Zync only for sources and data you are authorized to connect and process.
- Promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access or security incidents involving your account.
4. Acceptable use
You may not misuse Zync or help another person do so. Prohibited conduct includes:
- Accessing the service unlawfully or violating another party's rights.
- Attempting to bypass security controls, usage limits, or access restrictions.
- Introducing malicious code or interfering with service availability.
- Reverse engineering the service except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
- Using the service to build or train a competing product from Zync outputs or interfaces without written permission.
5. Customer data
As between the parties, the customer retains its rights in data submitted to or accessed by Zync. The customer grants Zync the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, and display that data to provide and secure the service.
The customer is responsible for the legality, accuracy, and permissions associated with its data and connected sources.
6. Fees, trials, and cancellation
Paid plans, pricing, included usage, and billing periods are shown during purchase or in an applicable order. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
Trial and early-access features may be limited or changed. Canceling prevents future renewal but does not generally create a refund for amounts already paid, except where required by law or expressly agreed otherwise.
7. Confidentiality
Each party may receive non-public information from the other. The receiving party will use reasonable care to protect that information and use it only to perform or receive the service, except when disclosure is required by law.
8. Intellectual property
Zync and its licensors retain all rights in the service, software, designs, documentation, and related technology. These terms do not transfer ownership of Zync intellectual property to the customer.
Feedback may be used to improve Zync without restriction or obligation, provided it does not identify the customer publicly without permission.
9. Availability and warranties
We aim to provide a reliable service, but Zync is provided on an as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, or data. Any aggregate liability will be limited to the amounts paid for the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to address security risks, unlawful use, material breach, or harm to the service or others. Either party may terminate as permitted by the applicable plan or order. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be posted or otherwise communicated before they take effect where required. Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@getzync.dev.
