Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Zync processes, why we process it, and the choices available to customers and users.

Last updated: August 2, 2026

1. Information we collect

We collect the information needed to create and operate your account, such as your name, work email address, organization name, authentication data, and product preferences.

When you connect a supported integration, Zync processes the content and metadata made available within the scope you authorize. This may include issue titles, descriptions, comments, status history, project metadata, and related operational records.

2. How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Zync service.
  • Reconstruct operational knowledge, recurring problems, decisions, discoveries, and supporting evidence.
  • Authenticate users, administer organizations, and respond to support requests.
  • Detect abuse, diagnose incidents, and protect the integrity of the service.
  • Communicate essential service, security, billing, and product updates.

3. Connected systems and read-only access

Zync is designed to use the minimum permissions required for each integration. Where an integration is presented as read-only, Zync does not modify the source records through that connection.

Your organization controls which sources and projects are connected. Removing an integration prevents new data from being collected from that source, subject to normal processing and deletion periods.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell customer operational data. We may share information with service providers that help us host, secure, monitor, support, and operate Zync, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a corporate transaction. Where legally permitted, we will provide appropriate notice.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary by data type and account status.

You may request account or customer-data deletion by contacting privacy@getzync.dev. Some records may be retained when legally required or necessary for security and fraud prevention.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system can guarantee absolute security, and customers remain responsible for managing access to their own accounts and connected systems.

7. International processing

Zync and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live or work. When required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or export certain personal information. Requests can be sent to privacy@getzync.dev and may require identity verification.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Zync evolves. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the product or by email.

10. Contact
